Background
Sweet, savory, and irresistibly gooey, these rolls are filled with our luscious Dulcet double-cream cheese and rich fig jam, which caramelizes as they bake, making every bite a delicious surprise.
We decided to use store-bought fresh pizza dough for this recipe to keep things simple without sacrificing flavor, so that you can impress your guests with ease!
These rolls are a perfect addition to any special dinner party or holiday spread. Fig jam pairs beautifully with both poultry and pork, making them a natural companion to roasted turkey or glazed ham.

Cooking and Serving Tips
For best results, serve them warm from the oven. You can prep them ahead—let the unbaked rolls rest at room temperature for up to two and a half hours, then brush with egg white and bake as instructed for 30 minutes just before serving.
They’ll hit the table golden, gooey, and irresistibly fresh.

Recipe
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°.
Divide the room temperature pizza dough into twelve balls, roughly 2 ounces each.
Gently stretch each dough ball into a 4-inch round. Spread each with 1 teaspoon fig jam and 1 tablespoon grated cheese.
Fold each round in half, then in half again until quartered. Roll into a ball.
Lightly grease a 10-12” cast-iron skillet with vegetable oil & place dough balls into skillet. Cover with a dishtowel and let rise 45 minutes.
Brush dough with egg white, then bake for 25 minutes.
Cover with remaining cheese, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Remove from oven & dig in!
